LAKSHMI NARASIMHAR

ஸ்ரீ லஷ்மி நரசிம்மர்

Out of all the incarnations of Lord Vishnu to save the man kind his fourth incarnation "Narasimha" incarnation is considered to be the best, just to prove the words of His child devotee Prahaladhan and to kill His father Hiranyakasiphu , Lord took this incarnation just at that instant when Prahalada asserted to his father that Lord Vishnu is omnipresent, not waiting for even a single second. This was also the shortest of the incarnations. The Lord was benevolent to Prahaladha at the same time was ferocious to Hiranyakasiphu. This incarnation also explained the greatness of the "OM NAMO NARAYANA" manthram.

The Lord has manifested in many places in this form we will be seeing the greatness of these places in the subsequent postings.

ஸ்ரீ ந்ருஸிம்ஹ அநுஷ்டுப் மூலம்

உக்ரம் வீரம் மஹாவிஷ்ணும் ஜ்வலந்தம் ஸர்வதோமுகம்

ந்ருஸிம்ஹம் பீஷணம் பத்ரம் ம்ருத்யோர் ம்ருத்யும் நமாம் யஹம்

பொருள்: ( ஸிம்ஹ ரூபத்தை உடையதால்) உக்ரமானவரும், வீரமுடையவரும், மேலானவராயும், ஸர்வவ்யாபியாயுமிருப்பதால்) மஹா விஷ்ணுவாயும், ஜ்வலிக்கின்ற் திருமுகத்தையுடையவரும், எவ்விடத்திலும் (தூணிலும் துரும்பிலும்) இருப்பவரும் நரசிம்மரும், பயங்கரராகவும், மங்களகரராகவும், சம்சார கடலை கடத்துவிப்பவருமான தங்களை நான் வணங்குகின்றேன்.

மந்த்ரராஜபத ஸ்தோத்திரத்தில் சிவ பெருமான் "எவரை சரணடைந்தால் எல்லாவிதமான மங்களங்களையும் பெற முடியுமோ, எவர் அருளால் செல்வமும் நன்மையும் பெற முடியுமோ, அந்த எம்பெருமான் ஸ்ரீ லக்ஷ்மி நரசிம்மரை வணங்கிடுவோம்" என்று கூறுகின்றார்.
